Bodyweight Exercises for Strength

Bodyweight exercises for strength have to do with performing lots of repetitions since you are not using any type of equipment with weight to add on. Many of people think that the only way to stay in shape is performing a set of 5 horribly performed squats with a weight setting of 305lbs. However, this is just foolish thinking and also is a good way to destroy your knee and lower back. If you can perform it perfectly then good for you, but I highly doubt it or else you would not be here looking for help!

Strength increases and muscle mass gains are completely different. Sure, they increase together with heavy weight sets, but if you just want to increase your strength then you can easily perform bodyweight exercises for strength at home on a yoga mat, or something similar that keeps you off the hard floor.

Ways to get Ripped!

Ways to get Ripped!

I prefer to do a month of heavy lifting supplemented with moderate isolate lifts for four days a week, and then the next month perform higher rep amounts with moderate weight settings for 2-3 days a week, and in between them are 2-3 days with nothing but at home bodyweight exercises. Of course this is not a bodybuilder workout, but in reality you will get ripped and have plenty of strength.

Have you ever noticed that some guys are naturally big, but the one standing next to them is smaller, yet has more strength? That is because they follow a similar workout such as what I described above, and have only lean muscle mass opposed to heavy mass containing higher percentages of body fat. The following routine that I perform listed below is just one of the many ways to get ripped and increase your strength and endurance!

The Pushup Pyramid with Hip Flexibility

The following pushup pyramid is going to give you that wide, “V” shaped appearance while also allowing you to get ripped easily. Then in the middle you will perform exercises that increase your hip flexibility and endurance primarily. THEN you go back up the pushup pyramid. Remember, do as many as you can and if you need to take a break just push your butt into the arm and place the weight onto your hands.
